As a black woman, mother, and creator the AYA meaning has stuck with me through times of healing and reflection. AYA is an Akan adinkra symbol of endurance, resourcefulness and resilience. The AYA symbolizes the fern a hardy plant that can grow in difficult places. “An individual who wears this symbol suggests that they have endured many adversities and outlasted much difficulty.”*

Through the years self-care has moved down on my list of priorities. I realized that although I have been able to push through and prosper, I need to take the time to maintain my resilience. Living an AYA lifestyle not only means being resourceful through difficult times but also making it a priority to take care of yourself. I find pride in providing handcrafted products that are organic, natural, cruelty-free, and therapeutic to heal and maintain the body and mind. And here I am sharing it with you!
